The headquarters of the Microsoft Corporation is located in Redmond, Washington. The enormous headquarters is made up of over 120 buildings spread out across the city of Redmund. Microsoft shuttles navigate the campus.

Childhood friends Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft on April 4, 1975, in New Mexico. The company moved to Redmund in 1986. Redmund is now synonymous with the name Microsoft.

Microsoft creates, manufactures, licenses and sells software, computers and electronics devices. Microsoft is best known for its Windows operating systems and the web browser, Internet Explorer. The companty released the latest installment of Windows, Windows 10, 20 years after its predecessor, Windows 95.
