What are ideal ranges for your blood pressure and pulse?
By Forinfos - 28/02/2026 - 0 comments
An ideal blood pressure measured in millimeters of mercury is both a systolic blood pressure less than 120 and a diastolic blood pressure less than 80, according to the American Heart Association. A normal resting heart rate is usually between 60 and 100 beats per minute.
Systolic blood pressure, the top number, measures the pressure in your arteries while the heart is contracting, explains the American Heart Association. Diastolic blood pressure, the bottom number, measures the arterial pressure while the heart is resting in between beats.
It is important to discuss personal blood pressure and pulse readings with a health-care provider, as ideal ranges may differ from one individual to the next.
