Has OJ Simpson ever been jailed?

O.J. Simpson began serving a prison term in Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada, in 2008. That year a court sentenced him to a term of up to 33 years for his 2008 conviction of robbery, kidnapping and burglary with a firearm.

Simpson, a former NFL football player and film actor, made headlines when he went to trial for the murder of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. A jury found Simpson not guilty of the criminal charges in 1995; however, the jury in a civil court case found him guilty of wrongful death and charged him to pay $33 million in damages.
