Is heaven for real?

Though scientists have yet to identify evidence that heaven exists, humans widely continue to believe in heaven and the idea of heaven still holds enormous influence over modern life.

68 percent of Americans believe in heaven, according to a Harris Poll. Thus, belief in heaven should continue to influence public policy, culture and governance for many years to come. While heaven's existence has not been scientifically proven, many theologians believe that heaven's elusiveness is part of what makes the idea of heaven so appealing. In other words, the mystery surrounding heaven gives people the freedom to cling to their own versions of heaven and life after death.
