What are some herbal treatments for uterine fibroids?

As of 2015, there is no credible medical evidence that people can use herbs to treat uterine fibroids. Drugs such as ibuprofen, the application of heat and exercise may help to relieve fibroid pain, suggests WebMD.
Some websites, such as WellnessToday.com, claim that herbs such as milk thistle, chasteberry and red clover may help to detoxify the body and thereby correct hormone imbalances, which such websites assert may be the root cause of fibroids. Additionally, such websites contend that herbs such as black cohosh, Siberian ginseng and Echinacea may be effective in treating fibroids by increasing blood flow; however, neither WebMD nor Mayo Clinic list any herbal remedies for fibroids.
