The highest blood alcohol level for a DUI is 0.72 percent. Terry Comer was arrested for DUI after being found unconscious in her car after crashing it into a snow bank.

On Dec. 28, 2007, Terry Comer was found comatose in her still-running car by police and was transported to the hospital. A blood sample taken at the hospital revealed her BAC to be 0.72 percent, which is nine times the legal limit of 0.08 percent. In a 165-pound woman, the national average weight, it would take around 30 alcoholic beverages to reach a 0.72 percent BAC. A BAC above 0.40 percent leads to coma and/or death in most cases.
