What is the highest vertical leap?

By Forinfos - 27/12/2025 - 0 comments

As of 2014, the highest vertical jump that's been officially recorded is 60 inches. The record is held by Frenchman Kadour Ziani, who is a professional dunker with the professional dunking exhibition team Slam Nation.

The vertical leap must be distinguished from the high jump. The vertical leap is done from a standing still position, and is frequently used in professional sports to test an athlete's jumping ability. On the other hand, the high jump is a sanctioned track and field event in which an athlete is allowed a running start and must leap over a bar. The current high jump record is slightly over 8 feet and was set in 1993 by Javier Sotomayor
