Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States and he represented the Republican Party. Lincoln was known to enjoy the company of pets. His official pet was a horse that he often rode upon for transportation. He was also known for interacting with horses, cats, dogs and a turkey. Although he learned how to be proficient with an axe by chopping wood, he did not kill or harm animals as a hobby. Even though Lincoln suffered from deep depression, he enjoyed telling stories and jokes to family and friends.
