What are some good pool table games?

Eight-ball and nine-ball are two very common games for billiards tables. Eight-ball is played with 15 balls, where one player is responsible for pocketing only the solid balls (except the eight-ball), and the other player is responsible for pocketing only the striped balls.

Once a player has pocketed all of his or her balls, he must legally pocket the eight-ball in order to win the game. Nine-ball is played with the nine balls numbered one through nine. On each shot, the player must contact the lowest numbered ball on the table first, though the player does not have to pocket the ball on that shot. The game ends when a player pockets the last ball.
