What is a Lemon Twist toy?
By Forinfos - 23/01/2026 - 0 comments
The Lemon Twist toy greatly resembles the Skip-It toy of the late 1980s. The Lemon Twist, prominent in the 1970s, consisted of black tubing that had a plastic lemon at the end.
A predecessor to the Lemon Twist toy was the Footsie, which appeared in the 1960s. These are all the same toy redesigned for the children of the current time. The Lemon Twist was filled with rocks that would rattle when a child swung the toy. When the Lemon Twist became the Skip-It, a counter was added so that the player could see how many rotations they received while playing. Another advancement was the interchangeable color decorations that were added to further entertain the player.
