What are some map reading games?

Some map reading games include "Adventure Island" on the National Geographic website, NationalGeographic.com, and "Reading a Road Map" on HarcourtSchool.com. Both of these games offer basic map skills, and players can play for free.

"Adventure Island" teaches a student about the symbols and keys found on most maps. Once the review of symbols and the key are complete, the player helps the taxi driver move tourists around the island quickly for higher tips.

"Reading a Road Map" allows the player to look at a map of a specific state. The player starts at a city and follows major roads and interstates to arrive in a new one. The player answers the destination city to get a new set of directions.
