How do holidays affect the services provided by UPS?

UPS does not deliver any packages except for UPS Express Critical packages on certain holidays, such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day. On New Year's Eve, the company also sets a business holiday but still delivers and picks up packages for air and international shipping.

UPS also recognizes other holidays but does not cease service. The only exception to this rule is on Christmas Eve, where normal delivery service is available, but pickup service is limited to shipments made internationally or by air. Some of the holidays that are recognized by UPS include the beginning of Ramadan and Easter.
