Limestone pavers are cut pieces of limestone used for driveways, walkways, patios, pool edging and other applications. Limestone is a sedimentary rock made of minerals, crystals, grainy deposits and marine organisms. Travertine and marble are also types of limestone.
Travertine is a compacted limestone variation formed near water. It is popular for pool decks and patios because it does not retain heat and can withstand extreme changes in temperature, making it extremely durable. Marble is limestone that has metamorphosed due to heat and pressure. It is composed mainly of calcite and can be polished, making it a popular choice for both floors and decorative accents.
