What is Silestone?

"Silestone" is the brand name for a quartz surface material, which is designed with bacteristatic technology and produced by a Spanish company, called the Cosentino Group. This type of surface material works for counter-tops and sinks in both kitchen and bathroom applications.

Since its creation in 1990, Silestone is recognized as part of the bacteriostatic quartz counter-top category; this type of quartz counter top includes properties which inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria. The brand sells in over 50 countries worldwide. As of Dec. 2014, Silestone is sold with a 15-year transferable warranty, a unique characteristic of this product.
