What is a homogeneous mixture?
By Forinfos - 09/11/2025 - 0 comments
A homogeneous mixture is one that has a uniform composition and the same properties throughout the mixture. This is different than a homogeneous substance, which means that there is only one kind of substance present. A homogeneous mixture can have more than one substance in it.
Examples of homogeneous mixtures include blood and saturated salt or sugar water solutions. Homogeneous mixtures can usually be separated into their respective substances through either physical or chemical means. Mixtures can also be heterogeneous, which means that the mixture contains more than one type of substance and that the composition or properties is not uniform.
