What is the Honda Gold Wing?

The Honda Gold Wing is a sport, touring motorcycle first introduced to the marketplace in 1975. The original Honda Gold Wing featured a 999cc liquid-cooled horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine. Over the years, the Honda Gold Wing featured improvements to its luggage compartment size, weather and wind protection, and comfort.

As of 1979 the majority of the production of the Honda Gold Wing occurred in North American facilities, however in 2012 production moved to Kumamoto, Japan, which had the capacity to produce over 1,800 motorcycles per day. In 1993, the vehicle underwent a style change under the leadership of developer Masanori Aoki, who added enhancements to acceleration and handling.
