Are hydrangea plants deer-resistant?
By Forinfos - 17/02/2025 - 0 comments
According to gardening experts, hydrangea plants are not highly deer resistant. If not protected, they can suffer fairly severe damage from deer, especially if located near forests and other deer habitats.
Deer eat the buds, shoots, flowers, leaves and tips of tree and shrub branches. If they are hungry enough, they eat almost any type of vegetation, though they prefer evergreens with narrow leaves and stay away from toxic and strong scented plants.
Hydrangeas can be grown as trees, shrubs or vines. They are easy to grow and are valued for flowers that are used in both fresh and dried arrangements.
