As of 2015, IBM's highest adjusted closing value was 199.38 on May 30, 2013, according to Yahoo Finance. Despite IBM's goal of reaching a value of $20 per share by 2015, as reported by CNN, Bidness Etc states that IBM has posted declining revenues.
Although technically founded in 1911, IBM traces its history as far back as the 1880s. Originally named the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company, IBM eventually re-formed as the International Business Machines Corporation in the 1920s. Since then, IBM has been highly involved in the computing industry, managing to transition from the production of scales, tabulators and clocks to computers and large-scale networking solutions.
