The Indus River is located in Southeast Asia; it runs through Pakistan with courses in Tibet and India. Pakistan's longest river, the Indus River flows for about 1,900 miles before emptying into the Arabian Sea. The origin of the Indus River is on the Tibetan Plateau, and it drains one of Asia's main catchment basins.
The region where the Indus River flows into the Arabian Sea is known as the Indus River Delta; this area is home to a system of swamps and mangrove forests as the river disperses out into the sea. This lush delta area is located in coastal Pakistan and extends partially into India.
