The primary feature within the Kaaba is the Black Stone. The Black Stone is a rock of unknown origins which is considered holy by Muslim worshipers. Muslims believe this stone to be a relic of the time of Adam and Eve, set in place by the Prophet Mohammad.
Scientists on the other hand originally believed the stone to be a meteorite, however now believe it could also possibly be a piece of basalt, or natural glass. The Kaaba also contains three pillars which hold up the roof, and a small altar table used to house fragrant oils. Several lamplike objects also hang from the roof of the Kaaba.
