What is ironic about Dan Cody?

Dan Cody had a stellar high school football career, winning his school's MVP honor three out of four years, and excelled at the University of Oklahoma without injury. Ironically, his first professional training camp practice ended with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, ending his first season.

Even after Cody recovered from his ACL injury, foot and knee injuries put him right back on injured reserve when he returned to the Baltimore Ravens the next year. The Ravens originally drafted him in the second round, but his ongoing injury troubles kept him from showcasing his talent at the NFL level.
