In order to download Java for Pogo games go to Pogo.com and find a game that requires Java. Instead of the game a "Java is not installed" message will appear. Click on the blue link near the message to visit Java's official download page.

After choosing an operating system on the Java page wait for a download link to appear and click "Download." When a window pops up click on "Run" instead of "Save" to make installing easier. Once the download is complete the installation application will start up. Click "Accept" to start the installation, and uncheck the Yahoo toolbar installation box.
