The Jeep Grand Cherokee is produced by Chrysler, which owns the Jeep brand. As of 2013, Jeep Grand Cherokees are built in a manufacturing plant in Detroit, Michigan.

The Grand Cherokee is an affordably priced midsize sport utility vehicle with a first-class interior, impressive off-roading capability and a cabin that seats five passengers comfortably, according to U.S. News & World Report. Similar SUVs produced by other manufacturers are the Dodge Durango, which has more overall cargo space, and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, which has more cargo space and a better fuel economy.
