People of the Jewish religion practice in synagogues as their official place of worship. Synagogue is a Greek word that means "assembly."
In addition to worshiping at synagogues, those of the Jewish religion also practice at home. Within Judaism, it is believed that it is not the place of worship that is sacred. Rather, it is what people do while they are within the building that is sacred. Because of this, home plays a large role in where those of the Jewish religion worship. On the Sabbath, the day of rest, many start their day by worshiping while in the comfort of their own homes.
