Joonmedia is a television and music network based in Seoul, South Korea. It was formerly known as Open World Entertainment before undergoing a reorganization and name change in 2012 following a sexual harassment scandal involving its CEO.
The company also had a legal dispute with talent company ShinCom, which was forced to change its name following the case. The company airs network programming, including dramas and other series, on Korean television. Several top musicians as well as actors and actresses are under contract with Joonmedia. Jang Suk-woo, the CEO involved in the sexual harassment scandal, was eventually sentenced to six years in prison.
