Joyce Meyer is a Bible teacher and New York Times best-selling author of over 100 books who runs the Joyce Meyer Ministries, which gives conferences and seminars throughout the world. Additionally, Meyer hosts the TV and radio program "Enjoying Everyday Life," which broadcasts all over the globe.

Born on June 4, 1943, Meyer cites her history of being a victim of sexual abuse as inspiration for her career. Her real name is Pauline Joyce Hutchinson. Meyer claims she became born-again at age 9. However, stealing from her places of work and cheating followed her through her youth. Following a failed first marriage, she became involved with the Life Christian church in St. Louis, Missouri.
