Kansas Gas Service is the largest natural gas distribution company in Kansas as of 2015. It is based in Overland, Kansas, and it has 1,000 employees and provides clean natural gas to over 634,000 customers in 360 communities.

Kansas Gas Service was established in 1997 by ONEOK, Inc, when it bought natural gas assets from Western Resources. It is a division of One Gas, Inc. Kansas Gas Service has had many names, including Kansas Gas and Electric Company, Gas Service Company, KPL and KPL Gas Service. It has a history of providing utility service to customers in Kansas, northeastern Oklahoma and western Missouri.
