Kate Gosselin has not always worn her hair long. In fact, she is more well-known and even gained some notoriety for her short "mom" hairdo.

From 2007 to 2011, during "Jon & Kate Plus 8's" peak of popularity, Kate sported a pixie cut with long, asymmetrical bangs and short spiky pieces near the crown. The look inspired Halloween costumes complete with wigs which are available for purchase as of 2015. In 2010, Kate appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" with a glam squad makeover. In addition to the show's signature spray tan, Kate also began rocking $7,000 extensions, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson.
