What are the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste?

On a Windows and Linux personal computers, the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste are Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, respectively. On Apple computers, the Ctrl key is replaced by the Command key, Command + C, for example.

Ctrl + X and Command + X are for cutting. Cutting is similar to copying, as it reserves a copy of the selected data in memory for pasting, but cutting removes the selected data from the current form instead of duplicating it. In addition to the standard Windows shortcuts, in Windows 10, Ctrl + Insert copies and Shift + Insert pastes. The default keyboard shortcuts can be changed, but doing so involves editing registry values or using a special program.
