When does "The Killing" Season 4 start?

Netflix released the fourth season of the "The Killing" in full on Aug. 1, 2014. Netflix picked up the crime drama two months after AMC cancelled the show in September 2013. AMC first cancelled the show in 2012 but aired a third season after renegotiation.

"The Killing" premiered on AMC on April 3, 2011, and aired on the network for three seasons before its cancellation. The fourth and final season, distributed by Netflix, consisted of six episodes.

Veena Sud created the "The Killing," which earned six Primetime Emmy award nominations in 2011 after its debut season. The show is based on the Danish television series "Forbrydelsen," created by Søren Sveistrup.
