What kind of equipment is used to feed cattle?

Some kinds of equipment used to feed cattle include creep feeders, bale feeders and range feeders. A common piece of feeding equipment is the line feeder. Animals are placed in a line feeder side by side, and hay or other feed is spread in the long trough on the front.
Creep feeders are designed for feeding young cattle and have a large trough surrounded by a frame that prevents larger cattle from getting to the feed. Bale feeders are simple barred structures in which hay is placed. Their structure allows the hay to be spread evenly to each animal. Range feeders are often attached to trucks or trailers and are used to distribute cubes of alfalfa, ears of corn and other feed through a chute on the feeder.
