What kind of fuel do high-end remote-control cars use?
By Forinfos - 01/07/2025 - 0 comments
Gasoline, Nitro, diesel and jet fuel are all used in high-end remote controlled cars and trucks. Nitro and gasoline are the most commonly used high-end fuels. Electric powered models are available, but they are much slower than fueled models and not considered competitive for RC racing.
Gasoline models have conventional engines with spark plugs and use a mixture of oil and regular gas. Nitro engines have glow plugs and use a special mixture of oil, nitromethane and methanol. Gasoline engines are bigger and more powerful with more torque, well suited for off-road racing with trucks and dune buggies. Nitro engines and vehicles are smaller and faster, capable of reaching speeds over 80 miles per hour.
