Do KitchenAid microwaves have a longer warranty than other microwaves?

KitchenAid's microwave warranty is comparable to most other major manufacturers, but it is not longer than that of other manufacturers in the industry. For example, Maytag offers a longer warranty for certain parts of its new microwaves, as of 2015.

KitchenAid does offer 10 years of protection on certain metal parts of the doors of its microwave ovens in case of rust or corrosion damage. However, the limited parts warranty for electric elements and solid-state control systems only extends for five years. In contrast, Maytag warrants the driver motor and magnetron of its microwave ovens for a full 10 years after purchase.
