Where is Kuala Lumpur?

Kuala Lumpur is the most populous city of Malaysia, which is in Southeast Asia. Kuala Lumpur is located in Peninsular Malaysia east of the Strait of Malacca.

Kuala Lumpur is located in the Selangor state. It is bordered by the Titiwangsa Mountains to the east, the Strait of Malacca to the west, and a number of mountain ranges to the north and south. In 1974, Kuala Lumpur became the first Federal Territory to be governed by the Malaysian Federal Government. Kuala Lumpur is comprised of eleven separate territories. All of the city's territories are governed by the authority of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
