Some landforms of Paris include a sedimentary basin, Seine River, the L'ile de la Cite and Ile St. Louis. Paris is the capital of France and its largest city, as of April 2015. It is part of the region known as Ile-de-France.
Paris is located downstream of the junction of the Seine and Marne Rivers. The earliest portions of the city developed on the I'ile de la Cite. Most of the city is flat, with the highest point in Paris, Montmartre, reaching 427 feet tall. At its lowest point, Paris is 115 feet above sea level. The city is separated into 20 districts, known as arrondissements.
