How large are stinkbugs?
By Forinfos - 21/06/2025 - 0 comments
At full maturity, a stinkbug reaches a little less than one-half inch. Nymphs range from 1/10th of an inch to 1/2 inch in length. Stink bugs are identified easily by their shield style backs.
Stink bugs get their name from the foul odor they secrete as an act of defense. The insect emits this smell, when squashed or mishandled. These bugs eat a variety of fruits and can become a pest in the garden. However, stink bugs do not typically enter homes and cause a problem.
Adult stinkbugs overwinter during the cold months and emerge in the spring to lay eggs. The babies will hatch and molt numerous times, before reaching the full adult size of half an inch.
