According to BlueChipList.com, some of the largest blue chip companies in the United States as of June 2015 are IBM, Exxon Mobil, Procter and Gamble, McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney, Microsoft, Bank of America, Pfizer, Citigroup and General Motors. These companies are ranked in the Dow Jones Average Index.
The Blue Chip List website also lists blue chip companies of other countries, such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, EU, Japan, or by index, such as the Standard and Poor's 500, the CAC 40 Index or the Dow Jones STOXX Blue Chip Family. Blue chip companies are deemed safe investments as these companies have a long track record of profitability and very little debt.
