According to a map of Idaho, some of the largest cities in the state are Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Idaho Falls and Pocatello. As of the 2010 census, Boise had a population of 205,671, representing the largest city in Idaho, with over 100,000 more people than Nampa, the second largest city.

Boise is the capital city of Idaho and is located in the county of Ada. Interstate 84 passes through the city, eastbound and westbound. Boise, along with Nampa and Meridian, are located within the southwest region of Idaho, with Oregon being the closest neighboring state. Conversely, Pocatello and Idaho Falls are in the southeast portion of the state, with each city located more than 240 miles from Boise.
