Navajo Nation, Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, and Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation are the largest Indian reservations in the United States. Navajo Nation is far and away the largest and most populous Indian reservation in the United States.
Navajo Nation occupies land covering 27,096 square miles in Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the population of Navajo Nation stood at 180,462. The second-largest Indian reservation by land area is Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in Utah, with 6,825 square miles of land and a population of 19,182. The third-largest reservation is Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, located in Arizona.
