The largest waterfall in the Philippines is located on the island of Mindanao and is called Aliwagwag Falls. It is 1,110 feet from the top of the falls to the Canteel River and measures 65 feet across the falls.
The water has to pass over 84 ridges on its way to the river below, making Aliwagwag Falls a popular tourist attraction on the island. Many tourists choose to view it from the road as it requires a 15-mile hike across 13 rapids and a walk through the jungle to reach it by foot. A new road on the east side of the island allows visitors to view the falls at the Aliwagwag Bridge.
