What are LED strip lights for cars?

LED lighting for vehicles is designed to add accent and detail to a vehicle through the use of weatherproof modules or wired strips. They are commonly used for under-body lighting, wheel accents, engine compartment decoration or interior mood lighting.

Several varieties of module lighting come with programmable controllers that can alter lighting patterns or colors on the LED strips. These can also come in pre-wired components, such as windshield nozzles and bolt replacements, designed to replace vehicle parts with lit versions of the same part. Many of these lights require an adapter to connect to the car's battery. Cable ties are used for most installations, although sturdy silicone adhesive or double-sided strips can work for indoor installations.
