What is the length of a cricket pitch?
By Forinfos - 24/05/2025 - 0 comments
A cricket pitch forms a rectangle that measures 22 yards by 10 feet. Cricket is always played on a circular or oval field, but the overall size of that field can vary.
The wickets on the different sides of the pitch are roughly 2.5 feet tall. Between them are three stumps that are about 9 inches in length; they sit on the bowling crease. The popping crease is approximately 4 feet from the stumps on both sides of the cricket field. The return creases, which are about 4 feet from the middle stumps, are set up at right angles from the popping and bowling creases.
