As of 2015, Lenox bone china is manufactured at a factory in Kinston, North Carolina. Situated on 40 acres, the 218,000-square-foot plant was built in 1989, the 100th anniversary of the company. Lenox was founded by Walter Scott Lenox in Trenton, New Jersey.
The Kinston plant goes through an average of 4 million pounds of clay annually to manufacture the china. The factory has the capacity to produce 15,000 to 20,000 pieces of china daily. The china produced at this plant has received numerous awards for artistic design. The china for the George W. Bush White House was manufactured at this factory.
