The Lexus USA headquarters is located in Torrance, California, as of 2015, but the company is planning to relocate to Plano, Texas, in 2017. California has been Lexus's headquarters since 1957. Lexus is the luxury car division of Toyota.

Small groups of Toyota employees currently work in Plano, Texas, in a temporary location, and a majority of Lexus employees plan to relocate to Texas once the new headquarters is completed. Lexus is moving from California, because business operations in the state have become very expensive, and Texas is much cheaper. Los Angeles is the most expensive U.S. city in which to live, and the move is intended to position Lexus for long-term growth and sustainability.
