Do LG front loading washing machines get moldy?
By Forinfos - 01/03/2026 - 0 comments
Front-loading LG washing machines can grow mold when water pools around the rubber door gasket. Top-loading washing machines don't use a gasket around the lid, so they are less prone to mold.
Some front-loading washing machines come with a special cycle to clean the inside of the machine, but owners of front-loading washing machines can also prevent mold by drying the door and gasket after each load. Detergent dispensers should also be cleaned once or twice per month to prevent mold. In damp laundry rooms, dehumidifiers can help reduce moisture and discourage mold growth. Keeping the washer door open between use also discourages mold by encouraging airflow.
