How does one ignite a gas fireplace?

To ignite a gas fireplace, turn the gas supply valve on, press and turn the valve control knob to the 6 o’clock position, and press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot ignites. Turn the fireplace wall switch or remote control on to light the fire.
- Open the gas supply valve
Locate the gas supply valve and open it by rotating the handle parallel to gas line.
- Locate the pilot assembly and igniter button
Locate the pilot assembly spark igniter and the igniter button. Ensure that the wall switch, remote control and rocker switch are turned off.
- Light the flame
Push the valve control knob in and rotate it counter-clockwise until the word "pilot" is in the 6 o'clock position. While holding the valve knob in, repeatedly press the igniter button until the pilot ignites. Turn the fireplace wall switch or remote control on to start the fire.
