Who is Light Yagami?

Light Yogami is the protaganist of the comic "Death Note," which was created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. He appears in 32 issues. In the comic, he was born on Feb. 28th, 1986.

The character also appears in 15 episodes of the "Death Note" anime series. Light Yogami is intelligent, graduating as the valedictorian of his high school class. The Death Note is a powerful notebook that can cause death to any individual whose name is written down. Light Yogami finds the Death Note and decides to use it to rid the world of evil. His girlfriend is Misa Amane, and his alias is Kira.
