The U.S. Government Publishing Office provides the text of both the U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations on its website. Alternatively, the Government Publishing Office provides physical copies of both series of codes for purchase through its bookstore.
The U.S. Code is divided into 53 titles, and it establishes and describes, by subject matter, all federal laws. It does not include regulations and rules issued by federal departments and agencies. The Code of Federal Regulations describes these rules and is divided into 50 separate titles, which are also organized broadly by subject matter. The CFR is updated annually.
