Is the Lizzie Borden poem accurate to history?

The poem "Lizzie Borden Took an Axe" is true in so far as both Lizzie Borden's stepmother and father were killed with an axe. The rest of the poem contradicts both the facts of the case and the rulings given at the trial.

The murder of Andrew and Abby Borden remains unsolved. Lizzie Borden was acquitted of all charges. Autopsies done on the bodies suggest that her stepmother died as a result of a sharp blow to the side of her head, which knocked her down. The attacker then delivered 18 or 19 blows to the back of her head. An autopsy of her father revealed he had suffered 11 blows, probably when he was asleep.
