How do you find a local food bank?

The Feeding America network, Second Harvest, PantryNet.org and 2-1-1 are a few of the services available to help locate local food banks. A food bank or food pantry is there to help provide food for low-income families. Most offer free food or reduced-priced food items.

There are more than 49 million people in America facing hunger, according to Feeding America. Food banks are available to help meet those needs. Other programs available for those facing hunger include public assistance such as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, the Summer Food Assistance Program, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the National Hunger Hotline.
